Dr Cheng is the Vice President of the University, as well as the Director and a distinguished professor at the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. His research covers gene transcription regulation, brain neurodegenerative diseases, biochemical and molecular genetic analysis, small molecule drug development, etc. He won the Outstanding Research Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2017.

Ms Chan is a practicing lawyer and a strategic expert in the domains of digital preparation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and convergence. She once served as the chairperson of the National Communications Commission (NCC) and currently serves as the chairperson of the Artificial Intelligence Foundation (AIF) and the vice chairwoman of the Digital Transformation Association (DTA), the vice chairperson of Address Supporting Organization/Address Council (ASO/AC) of Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and other important positions in domestic and foreign industry, government, academia and research organizations.
Deputy Director Chen is a Research Fellow at the Center. He conducts cross-domain research with science, technology, and innovation (STI) as the core, and offers courses related to sustainable science, as well as serves as the deputy director of Taiwan-Japan Exchanges Office. Meanwhile, he serves as a member of National Sustainable Development Award Committee and a member of National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD) during the 18th, 19th, and 20th terms, and a member of National Action Plan (NAP) during the 2nd term under the Executive Yuan.
