As the global demand for semiconductors continues to grow, Japan is welcoming TSMC factories and promoting the development of semiconductor clusters in Kumamoto and Kyushu into "science parks".

The university signed a cooperation agreement with Mitsui Real Estate Agency to discuss the blueprint of the Japanese University Park and made significant progress in creating new industries.

President Lin Qihong said that YMTSU is located in Hsinchu Science Park, one of the most important high-tech industry clusters in the world, and has good interaction and cooperation experience with industrial partners in the park and nine national research laboratories in the vicinity. Yang Ming Jiaotong University is not only committed to forward-looking research, but also has a long history of helping the Science Park to apply research results in practice.

Mitsui Real Estate has established strategic partnerships with organizations such as Northeastern University to promote the "Science Park Vision". In line with the company's strategy, it has also established an innovation promotion department and strengthened industry-academia collaboration.

In the future, the university will establish a strategic alliance with Mitsui to promote exchanges and development of the semiconductor industry in Taiwan and Japan, and to build a science park with a semiconductor cluster as its core, and to provide the university with experience to help cultivate talents in the semiconductor field, and to accelerate the entry of Taiwanese enterprises and research institutions into the relevant industrial chain in Japan; and Mitsui will provide insights into the development of the cities and communities it has cultivated in Japan for a long time.
